Back when I was a student, the weekend started on thursday. Now the good times are back: I’m playing three shows, on thursday, friday and saturday. Thursday, Chrs Galarreta and I play at the Bar a Gauche in Antwerp. I’ve heard so many good stories about this place, really looking forward to it. Then on Friday, Modern Flamenco, the duo with Manuela Tessi, plays at the Tour Concrete, an arty farty evening bicycle expedition with events and snacks in Amsterdam. We play an outdoor set in some weird forest surrounded by the urban jungle. My amp will be powered by batteries charged on bikes. This can only be cool, really. And then, saturday, Chrs and I play at the Sub071 in Leiden, together with the legendary Julie Mittens, who just regrouped!
